Electrical safety begins with verification.
Electrical safety does not end when installation work is complete. It begins with independent verification.
Energy Solutions IQ provides regulator-aligned electrical installation inspection and certification support, ensuring every new or modified system is safe, compliant and ready for energisation.
Our licensed Electrical Inspectors work alongside engineers, designers, contractors and owners to inspect, test and certify installations, turning final verification from a box-ticking exercise into defensible assurance.

The final legal step before energisation
Duty holders must ensure installations are electrically safe before connection or use. For prescribed and high-risk work, inspection by a licensed Electrical Inspector is often the final legal step.
Independent inspection protects everyone: it safeguards engineers and contractors from liability, assures regulators that systems meet prescribed standards, and gives clients confidence in delivery.
Protects every stakeholder
- Confirms compliance with AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules and local instruments
- Detects non-conformances and workmanship issues before energisation
- Provides documented, auditable evidence of compliance
- Demonstrates due diligence by engineers, contractors and owners
LV, HV and renewable installations
Every inspection is independent and objective, free from installer influence.

From design review to energisation
Early engagement
We provide technical guidance before completion so issues are fixed before sign-off, not after.
Inspection and testing
Licensed inspectors examine completed work and test integrity, earthing and protection systems.
Defect notification
Any non-conformances are clearly documented with clause references and practical fixes.
Re-inspection
Corrected work is verified promptly to avoid energisation delays.
Certification
Final certification and regulator-ready documentation, integrated with your asset records.
Working with your project team, not against it
Our service is built to support engineering and construction teams, reducing rework and keeping projects moving.
Certification documents, defect logs and test data feed directly into your electrical asset registers, risk-based inspection programs and governance reporting, linking installation quality to lifecycle assurance.
Practical, timely support
- Guidance before completion to reduce rework

Certified by inspectors who once enforced the same rules
Energy Solutions IQ is led by Michael Miskulin, who spent more than 14 years inside the Electrical Regulator leading audits, investigations and enforcement action, and contributing to standards development and regulatory strategy.
Because our inspectors are both licensed and regulator-experienced, certification outcomes are technically precise, procedurally correct and defensible if reviewed by authorities or insurers.

Installation inspection and certification: common questions
When does an electrical installation need inspection by a licensed inspector?
Prescribed and high-risk electrical work, including many HV, main switchboard and certain generation installations, must be inspected by a licensed Electrical Inspector before connection or energisation. Requirements vary by jurisdiction.
What standards do you inspect against?
AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules and related standards, applicable regulations, network requirements and the design intent of the installation.
Do you inspect solar and battery installations?
Yes. We inspect and certify solar PV, inverter stations, battery storage and embedded generation, including network interface requirements.
What happens if the inspection finds defects?
We document each non-conformance with clause references and practical recommendations, then re-inspect once corrected so certification can proceed.
How early should we involve an inspector?
As early as possible. Early guidance reduces rework at sign-off and helps avoid energisation delays.
